FIT RECOMMENDATION
Be aware, the fabric’s tendency to compress may reduce the circumference measurements by 10% or more in everyday wear. For that reason, a minimum of 20cm/ 8” of ease is recommended for women, and 10cm/ 4” for men. To determine your size: Measure your chest circumference. Then, referring to Measurement C, select the size measuring at least 20cm/ 8” (or 10cm/ 4” for men) greater than your actual chest circumference.

YARN SELECTION

Due to the nature of Half-Fisherman’s Rib, the type of yarn you choose will have a great effect on the look and fit of your garment.

If you prefer a fabric that is ‘squishy’ and thick, choose a yarn toward the heavier end of DK, especially with Merino or Falkland fibre content. Nutiden (held double) will also achieve the squishy/ puffy effect.

On the other hand, if you prefer a thinner and ‘flatter’ fabric with more drape, choose a yarn toward the lighter end of DK, avoiding ‘round’ yarns with Merino content or similar. A fingering-weight yarn held together with lace-weight mohair is a good option here as well.
