Urban Woodland Wonderland

Leica CL + Voigtlander Skopar 35mm f2.8

Despite having spent a considerable part of my life living in cities, I have never been attracted to street photography, urban landscapes, or anything related to these genres. When I go into the city for work-related meetings or errands, I would not normally even take my camera.

My husband, on the other hand, loves both street photography and cityscapes. Sometimes we go out to Derry together on the weekend. He always takes his camera and I sometimes bring mine along, albeit mostly to take portraits of him. Last weekend this happened. He took over 200 photos. I took maybe half a dozen. Most of them of this hair salon window, just as it was getting dark. I like the way the stylist’s face and the fox’s face are oriented in the same direction. A street photographer I am not!
