Windmills and Forest-Cows

Leica CL + Leica Summicron-C 40mm f2

This winding mountain backroad is one we often cycle on. It doesn’t look it on the photo, but this bit is the steepest.

Today we were traveling through the area, and stopped to photograph the cows that were wandering picturesquely through the tree-strewn bogland.

I have not had many opportunities to try the new-to-me Summicron-C 40mm lens, as the weather and light conditions have been atrocious. These shots were taken very quickly between heavy lashings of wind and rain.

All of these were taken at f8, with a shutter speed of 1/100 or so, at ISO 800. There might be some camera shake, as my hands were trembling! Between that, and the fact that these are not the types of photos I would normally be taking with this lens, I will hold off on forming any opinion. But these are nice shots nonetheless.
