Castle-Forward

Leica CL + Summicron-C 40mm f2

I have tried to photograph this structure repeatedly over the years, but the light is always terrible from the only angle it can be approached at. It stands mysteriously in the middle of a field, beside a potato processing plant. It seems to be a remnant of a storage tower of some sort, rather than a dwelling, as it is very narrow. There is no information on its history.

Castle-Forward is the name of the townland. There is no actual castle down this gated lane; it is just ruins.

View from across the road.

And the potato processing plant next door. Some day I will get all of this in good light.
