Saying Yes to Frills

As someone who adores anything involving peplum, frill, or flutter details, I have been truly suffering through the minimalist phase of the past several years.

Finally - inspired by the potted carnations on my windowsill! - this summer I could not take it anymore…

…and added a frilled edging to the neckline of my personal Luasc sample. I know it’s not everyone cup of tea. But it’s mine! And it provides even more options to this already versatile pattern.

The Luasc T-Shirt pattern has now been updated with the flutter neckline option (shown here with 3/4 sleeves).

If you have already knitted one with the plain i-cord edging and have excess yarn, the frill can be added to the i-cord without the need to alter the existing neckline in any way.

A basic summer T-shirt at its core, Luasc is worked top-down with elegant compound raglan construction, a curved v-neck neckline, and turned edgings.

The options for plain or ‘fluttery’ sleeve and neckline finishes are what makes this pattern special, and infinitely reworkable for daily wear and dramatic occasion-wear.

The Luasc pattern is on sale this week!
