Inspiration: Heather’s LLF Pullover

For some time now, I have been a fan of the Falkland-Poldale yarns from Almas (WitchCraftyLady on Etsy). And it was Heather (aka knittingheather1965) who introduced me. So I thought it only fitting to show off Heather’s recently-finished LLF pullover, in the DK weight Falkland-Poldale.

Because this yarn is slightly finer than the outer limit of the recommended yarn weight for this pattern, Heather modified the gauge to 20 stitches per 10cm, and went up a size int he instructions to compensate. Everything else was done according to the pattern.

With the Falkland-Poldale yarn, the stitch definition is considerably more pronounced than with the Nutiden of the main pattern samples, which makes it easier to see the set-in sleeve construction. There is also some subtle sheen off the fibre, so that when photographed against a dark background it almost looks as if the sweater is glowing!
